Media attacks Trump As “Fascist”… For Having German Ancestors

Far-left news outlet, Salon, is accusing President Trump of being a “fascist” for the dumbest reason ever:

He has distant German ancestors.

“Trump’s absurd talk about his “good German genes” doesn’t sound so funny when you consider his policies,” wrote Salon’s Heather Digby Parton.

She concluded: “Somewhere along the line, all these words of his and all the actions of his administration come together in a pattern in which his belief in eugenics fits right in with a program that looks an awful lot like that “F” word,” meaning “fascism.”

Parton’s article seems to be spurred by President Trump giving a casual compliment to

President Trump is half-German and half-Scottish.

His paternal grandparents immigrated to the United States from Germany in the 1890s–more than four decades before the rise of the Nazi Party.

The President’s British-born mother immigrated to the United States in 1930 when she was 18.
